Description

The University of Alaska, Juneau is located in a major governmental center on inland waters, near commercial fisheries, and has been assigned primary responsibility for the sea-grant functions of the statewide system. It provides higher education opportunities to the citizens of Juneau and a service area that extends to small towns and isolated rural villages scattered across heavily forested islands and the coastline of Southeast Alaska.
